Travel Gift Cards
Nothing says Happy Holidays like cold hard cash! But perhaps a better option are travel gift cards. I’m always amazed to see so many different hotels, airlines, cruise lines, etc. offer gift cards. Better yet, you can often get those gift cards at a discount!
Discounted gift cards are often available at Sam’s Club and Costco. You can get a Red Card from Target and always get 5% off gift cards there, too. And if you buy a lot of gift cards, it’s worth joining AARP Rewards for 5-10% off. Anyone at any age can join AARP for $20 per year. Buying gift cards is even better when you collect points and miles. Then you can earn free travel while you check off everyone on your list!

Travel Merch
I do know people who just can’t bear to give a gift card without some sort of tangible item as well. Or you are only planning to spend a minimal amount and don’t want to give someone only $20 towards an expensive vacation that they may not be planning to take! Never fear – we have curated several lists of great things to buy for travelers. You should be able to find gifts for your favorite travel lovers (and probably a few things you just can’t live without, too).

Subscription Gifts
For my birthday one year, Amanda gave me a subscription to Piquant Post. I receive spices from all over the world and accompanying recipes. It’s a great way to experience some of the benefit of travel without ever leaving home! Crate Joy has a lot of fun travel subscription boxes you can choose from. My son would love this International Snack Box!
I think one of the best travel gifts to give is to purchase their TSA Pre-Check, Global Entry, or Clear membership. Or consider gifting a Priority Pass membership. This will allow your travel lover to get into airport lounges all over the word. Another interesting subscription is Prior, a digital library of travel guides that offers insight into off-the-beaten path locations, local favorites, and quirky places. If your travel obsessed giftee loves a great deal, consider gifting them a service that alerts them of cheap flights like Dollar Flight Club, Going, or Ashley Gets Around.

Photography Session
I think a great gift to give to a family that travels is a photo shoot in their vacation destination. There are several companies that offer this service, and the cost is much less than you would expect. Check out Flytographer, Travelshoot, Sweet Escape, or ShakaShoots.

Book a Trip!
Maybe the best gift you can give to your beloved travelers is to book a trip with them. You don’t even have to pay for them – just offer to tag along! Travelers are always looking for a good excuse to travel. Having a confirmed travel companion makes that easy.
