Terezín

Lidice
Lidice stands as a solemn memorial. In 1942, the city was completely destroyed by Nazi forces in retaliation for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, a prominent Nazi official. The town was razed to the ground and all of its inhabitants were killed or deported – including the children. The German’s tried to remove all traces of the town’s existence.
